- Strengthen organised centrist and liberal forces in Sri Lanka mainly through
- developing the political skills of newly elected office bearers at local, provincial and national level and hence improve their prospects of successful work
- developing the skills of candidates for election and hence their chances of success
- Impart leadership and life-skills to youths who have demonstrated initiative and entrepreneurial abilities (> from among Liberal Youth Guild members and participants) that they, in turn, can impart to others
- Create a pool of young people interested in and with substantial knowledge of important political issues in Sri Lanka and prepared to play an active role in the political process
- Increase knowledge and awareness of the practical relevance of liberal ideas in the everyday political life of Sri Lanka
- Enhance the ability to develop policies in line with liberal ideas
