Character building, leadership skills through participation based experimental learning can change the future of youth and they can become future leaders. In coordination with all the community neighborhood centres, City of Cambridge is working hard to develop and promote youth activities. From the last few years, leadership excellence asset development program (L-E-A-D) is developing leadership skills and empowering youth, which will be useful in volunteering, employment and will increase the youth commitment and connection with the community development. LEAD is a 12-module 12-week training program, which teaches youth how to inspire and to be excellent leaders in community. Youth aged 11to16 years are the target participants. Programs like these can change any society and can make this world a better living place. The LEAD program provides opportunities for youth to learn about themselves, others and the world around them in a safe and supportive environment that fosters their personal capacity to lead others.
